Barclays will never ask you to disclose your personal or security details by email or over the telephone. A Suspicious electronic communication covers communications such as, but not limited to: Email, SMS, Social Media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook)
If you are ever in doubt about whether an email or a screen asking for details is genuine, do not enter any information or open any links and please forward any emails or screenshots to us at internetsecurity@barclays.co.uk and then delete the email immediately.

We will contact you by post, telephone or electronically using the details you have given us (where we use the words 'electronically' we mean any form of message made through any electronic service that we provide to you or by any telecommunications, digital or IT device (including the internet, email and SMS).
Certain forms of communication are not completely secure and you must take adequate precautions to ensure that others do not access, read or use your information without consent. We do not accept any liability for any interception of emails or SMS communications or interference with them by others.
Remember you should never open emails or attachments that you don’t recognise, don’t believe you have requested, or do not believe refers to you.
It is your responsibility to ensure that we have your current contact details and the correct details for your key personnel who are authorised to access accounts and services on your behalf.
