Bluetooth pairing for Barclays Biometric Reader 2 (BBR2)

Bluetooth Smart technology (4.0) is only compatible with Windows 10 and above, as well as Mac OS X (10.10) and above.
Pairing (first time connection) instructions
Please ensure that the ‘Hitachi Finger Vein Biometric PKI Wireless Smart Card Driver’ has been installed as part of initial software installation. If you have not downloaded this driver, then you will not be able to connect the device via Bluetooth.
1. Activate the Bluetooth Function on your PC. For more information about how to do this, please refer to the instructions for your PC.
2. Ensure your SIM card is not inserted in the SIM card slot.
3. Slide the power switch towards the Bluetooth icon whilst also holding down the Cancel button to enter pairing mode.
4. Confirm the serial number of your BBR2.
5. Open the Bluetooth setting of your PC and click Add Bluetooth or other device.
6. Click Bluetooth in the Add a Device menu, then select the device that displays the serial number present on the back of your BBR2.
7. The BBR2 will then display a 6 digit passcode. Enter this passcode on your PC and click Connect, then click Done.
8. Click the BBR2 icon that will be present in your PC’s task bar.
9. Select your BBR2’s serial number from the list
10. Once connected, the icon will change as follows:
11. Insert your SIM into the BBR2 and log on to our Digital Channels. If you do experience any further logon issues, please contact the Helpdesk.

5. Click the icon displayed below that appears on your Mac’s Menu bar.
6. Select your BBR2’s serial number from the list.
7. Click Connect to begin the pairing.
8. The BBR2 will then display a 6 digit passcode. Enter this passcode on your Mac and click Connect.
9. Once Connected, the icon on your Mac’s menu bar will change as follows:
10. Insert your SIM into the BBR2 and log on to our Digital Channels. If you do experience any further logon issues, please contact the Helpdesk.
