The following payment types are available in Barclays iPortal:
System Administrators will need to ensure the user has Payment Role Profile(s) assigned in Barclays iPortal. The default Role Profiles (shown below) will grant users access to the ‘View and Manage Payments’ and ‘Make a Payment’ menu links within Barclays iPortal.
System Administrators will also need to ensure that entitlement restrictions are assigned to the user within Barclays.Net via the Role Profile Association screen.
Beneficiary address will either be optional or mandatory for non UK based beneficiaries depending on the country of the beneficiary bank. If it is mandatory, then it is because payments to that country require a beneficiary address which is becoming increasingly popular.
The payment journey on Barclays iPortal is fundamentally different to the payment journey on Barclays.Net and therefore the current solution of using payment templates to store/manage beneficiaries would not work in the same way on Barclays iPortal. We have the ability to display the beneficiary details for all beneficiaries you have paid within the last 12 months to avoid the need for you to remember or re-key these details and we are working on a number of enhancements.
The ability to make confidential payments in Barclays iPortal is in development so at present you should continue to make confidential payments via Barclays.Net.
The beneficiary list in Barclays iPortal shows the details of beneficiaries paid within the last 12 months from both Barclays iPortal and Barclays.Net. This means beneficiaries paid via a confidential payment in Barclays.Net will also show in the Barclays iPortal beneficiary list however this only displays Beneficiary Name, Sort Code and Account number, users will not see any information relating to completed confidential payments. Systems Administrators can remove the ‘Default–Payments-Input’ role within iPortal if they do not wish any users to view any of these beneficiary details
Clients can view a consolidated balance of their UK based GBP accounts on the Barclays iPortal Homepage. Client cans also view balance and transaction information by clicking on Accounts > View Accounts to view further information.
Please refer to the View Accounts Guide PDF† hosted on our Help Centre page for information on how to view your balance.
Please refer to the View Accounts Guide PDF† hosted on our Help Centre page for information on how to view your balance.
For further information on the functionality available in Barclays iPortal please refer to the Functionality Fact Sheet PDF†.
System Administrators will need to ensure the user has the ‘Default - View Accounts’ Role Profile assigned in Barclays iPortal. This will grant the user access to the Portfolio Widget on the iPortal homepage and the ‘View Accounts’ menu link.
System Administrators will also need to ensure that entitlement restrictions are assigned to the user within Barclays.Net via the Role Profile Association screen.
The type of balance may be different (see definitions in the user guide PDF†). For example, available balance vs cleared for fate. Additionally, some transactions may show in one system before the other.
The Digital Channel Help Centre is equipped with a host of useful information and support.
We would encourage all users to use the available payment and reporting features in Barclays iPortal where at all possible but you will still be able to access Barclays.Net from the single sign on link in the top right of the iPortal navigation menu.
We are redirecting our services for a number of reasons. Primarily, Barclays iPortal is home to our new digital solutions and all our latest news and updates. It also offers a range of self-service options, from ordering stationery, e-billing, cancelling cheques, amending regular payments and helpful alerts.
We have also been making significant improvements to Barclays iPortal, with some great new payment and reporting features now available that have been designed to improve your online banking experience. You will still be able to access Barclays.Net via the single sign on link located in the top right of the iPortal navigation bar. Here you will have access to your existing payment and reporting functionality and you can continue to utilise the services in Barclays.Net that are not yet available in iPortal. With the redirection we are encouraging you to log in via Barclays iPortal to have full visibility of what’s available to you, as we plan to further enhance the features available in iPortal throughout 2022.
In future all users should access the Barclays iPortal homepage as their main log in for all digital services. Please add the Barclays iPortal URL (https://iportal.barclays.com) as a trusted site.
Guidance on how to do this can be found in our Digital Channels Help Centre.
